Richard 'Cobra Jet' Williams - Trainer / President
Williams has been kickboxing since the age of 18
where a chance encounter with Karate trainer Walt
Larson and the rest is history. Larson began training
in Karate, then moved to kickboxing.
Since beginning in a career in martial arts and
kickboxing, Willaims opened the Golden Cobra
Kickboxing Gym. Over the years he has trained many
gifted athletes. Recently, he has trainied the IKF
World Title Kickboxer Clifford Larson, who has began
boxing professionally with a 1-0 record.
Williams' dedication to the sport and to his athletes
make him and his gym very successful and
empowering place to train. Whether you are
five-years-old or 55, Williams always seems to have
a spot for you at his gym. Whether you want to
compete or not, Williams' technicques to getting
fighters in shape and in top form have been a major
reason why his fighters consistently do well year
after year.
Trainers
Code of Conduct
1. Boxing and martial arts are sports. Not a way of
handling problems in life. The skills you learn are to be
used in the gym and ring only. Anyone fighting outside of
the gym will be immediately dismissed from use of the
gym and all competitions.
2. Learn accepted boxing and martial arts procedures and
designated workout schedule during class.
3. Respect trainers, fellow students and parents.
4. Students must maintain good grades in school.
5. Keep a positive attitude while conditioning, drilling and
praciticing techniques.
6. We are a family of individuals training as a team toward
personal success. We work hard in class and play hard
when the time is right.
7. Disagreements between students or outsiders must be
brought to the trainers' attention so these issues can be
handled in a positive way.
8. The gym is dedicated to equality, therefore while at the
gym, males and females need to maintain a
friendship-only relationship.
9. A fighter's best skill is focus. The gym is a place to
learn and practice the skills you learn.
10. Strive to keep our gym a safe place for everyone. We
are here to help each other, not to harm.
11. Be prepared to work out your mind and body and be
on time.
12. No one in the right without approval by Golden Cobra
staff.
13. No one under 14 in the weight-lifting area without
supervision.
14. No complaining or whining.
15. Wait your turn for talking or working out.
16. No removal of equipment from the gym without
approval by Golden Cobra staff.
17. Sign-in and weigh-in and write it down every day.
18. No gang colors.
19. No swearing. No smoking. No drinking or drug use.
20. Respect the gym and keep it clean by picking up after
yourself.
